New Leadership Delivering Results for Our Teachers and Students
Rachel Bongiovi is a Virginia Board of Counseling registered Qualified Mental Health Professional – Child (QMHP-C) who does intensive in-home services with children and teens. Rachel has been an outspoken advocate for children in Special Education and children who has mental health needs. Rachel has been a positive voice for change in the community and has been the ear for many parents who have students struggling in the system.
Rachel holds a Bachelor's of Science Degree in Psychology from Christopher Newport University and completes continuing education credits in order to retain her registration with the Virginia Board of Counseling. This continuing education is vital as standards in the field of mental health are constantly being updated. Our children deserve the best and most knowledgeable advocated on the board.
Rachel is a lifelong resident of Fauquier County and a graduate of Kettle Run High School (2012). Rachel also attended Warrenton Middle School, P.B. Smith, and was homeschooled in Fauquier County. Her roots run deep in Fauquier and this is an opportunity for her to make a positive change in the community she grew up in.
Rachel has a family to include her Navy veteran husband and her daughter.
Rachel has a vested interest in improving the school system for her young child, her clients, and her community. If elected, Rachel will be an outspoken advocate for the children of her district.
